Nile Raza is a first-year Neuroscience B.S. student at Indiana University with interests in medical communications, neurotrauma, and brain health. He joined the Clinical Neurotrauma Lab in September of 2026 as an undergraduate research assistant to better understand the relation of subconcussive head impacts on neurological health, patient care, and health outreach.

His extended family runs a free annual mobile eye clinic in rural Pakistan – now in its eight year – where he directs patient flow and manages the registry. That experience is what drew him to the labs work on point-of-care bio markers in low resource environments. Before coming to IU, he spent a summer as a clinical research intern at a pharmaceutical trial site, processing blood specimens under supervision, supporting participant screening, and assisting in ECG setup.

Outside the Lab, Nile works to create educational short form content for health nonprofits built from the organizations own archives of both professor and physician lecture – he currently works directly with the Thyroid Cancer Survivors' Association.
